Zem\u011b na jihu Evropy nap\u0159\u00edklad pravideln\u011b \u010del\u00ed rozs\u00e1hl\u00fdm po\u017e\u00e1r\u016fm vegetace, zat\u00edmco st\u0159edn\u00ed Evropu \u010dasto postihuj\u00ed velk\u00e9 povodn\u011b.\n<br><br>\nProgram Copernicus podporuje org\u00e1ny ve\u0159ejn\u00e9 spr\u00e1vy ve v\u0161ech f\u00e1z\u00edch \u0159\u00edzen\u00ed katastrof. M\u016f\u017ee p\u0159isp\u00edvat k p\u0159ipravenosti a prevenci t\u00edm, \u017ee poskytuje data, je\u017e pom\u00e1haj\u00ed identifikovat rizika a p\u0159edch\u00e1zet ztr\u00e1t\u00e1m na \u017eivotech i na majetku. B\u011bhem z\u00e1sahov\u00fdch akc\u00ed podporuje d\u00edky sv\u00fdm produkt\u016fm (nap\u0159. map\u00e1m vyzna\u010duj\u00edc\u00edm zaplaven\u00e9 oblasti) operace v oblasti civiln\u00ed ochrany. Identifikuje se tak rozsah katastrofy  a \u00farove\u0148 po\u0161kozen\u00ed (nap\u0159. zni\u010den\u00e9 budovy v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00ed). Ve f\u00e1zi obnovy pom\u00e1h\u00e1 monitorovat st\u0159edn\u011bdob\u00e9 a dlouhodob\u00e9 dopady na \u017eivotn\u00ed prost\u0159ed\u00ed, lidskou bezpe\u010dnost a hospod\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed a jejich v\u00fdvoj.\n<br><br>\nPozorov\u00e1n\u00ed Zem\u011b se vyu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 tak\u00e9 v odv\u011btv\u00ed poji\u0161\u0165ovnictv\u00ed. Lze je vyu\u017e\u00edt k aktualizaci, ov\u011b\u0159ov\u00e1n\u00ed a kalibraci rizikov\u00fdch model\u016f. Pom\u00e1h\u00e1 odhadnout ztr\u00e1ty v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b, \u017ee dojde ke katastrof\u011b. Lze je vyu\u017e\u00edt rovn\u011b\u017e k v\u00fdpo\u010dtu index\u016f, kter\u00e9 se pot\u00e9 zohledn\u00ed p\u0159i v\u00fdpo\u010dtu \u010d\u00e1stek od\u0161kodn\u011bn\u00ed, kter\u00e9
